Job Description
As a Backend Engineer (Python), you will contribute to building and maintaining AI-powered applications, backend platforms, and intelligent systems. You will work with engineering teams and business stakeholders to transform technical requirements into scalable, reliable, and production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and AI-powered software solutions using Python.
- Build AI applications and transform prototypes into production-ready agentic workflows.
- Develop scalable tools, frameworks, and platforms for AI and machine learning applications.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI services, and pretrained models into software solutions.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and AI agent orchestration.
- Build secure AI workflows using tool calling, MCP, and OAuth-based authentication.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Manage project priorities, technical decisions, deadlines, and software delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing platforms and adopt emerging AI technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of overall experience in software or platform development.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, or Golang is an advantage.
- Experience designing and developing AI systems on cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and system design.
- Good problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with LLM serving and inference frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
- Experience developing production-grade AI applications.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, RAG, and agent orchestration.
- Understanding of MCP, tool calling, and OAuth authentication.
- Knowledge of distributed systems such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues in production environments.
